Thank you for your interest in the University of Maine Upward Bound! We are excited that you are starting your application and we'll be here to support you every step of the way. To complete your application, you will need to fill out basic information about yourself, write a short essay, and have your parent(s)/guardian(s) complete several sections. Since there are multiple components to the application we HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you make an account so you can complete your application in more than one session.

How to make an account? Step #1: Click the SAVE button at the bottom of any page of the application. Step #2:You will be prompted to create an account where you will set your own username and password. Step #3: Once you have created your account, look for an email confirmation from COMPANSOL asking you to verify your account. Step #4: Once you verify your account, COMPANSOL will send you a second email with a link to your application. This will allow you to work on your application at different times without fear of losing your work. Please be sure to write your username and password down in a safe location for future use.

Family Size and Taxable Income Statement

Directions to parent/guardian: Please provide the information below so we can determine if you meet the income eligibility guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Education. If the student is a ward of the state or an independent student (emancipated minor) please contact our office.

Students are financially eligible if your family’s taxable income is not more than the amount listed in the chart. Students are also eligible for TRIO Upward Bound services if their parent/guardian has not attained a Bachelor’s Degree (4-year degree).
