Student Support Services (SSS) is a free federal TRIO Program that serve students who are first generation, low-income, and/or have a disability. These programs provide academic support and guidance to help Madera Community College students meet the challenges of obtaining an AA/AS degree, AA-T/AS-T degree and/or transfer to a four-year university. If you are committed to achieving success, SSS can help you achieve your academic and career goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
- Must speak another language in the home, other than English
- Enrolled in 12 units or more
- Be in good academic standing and have a 2.0 or better
- Have less than 50 college units completed
- One or more of the following apply:
- Be considered low income
- Parents or guardians did not complete a bachelor’s degree or higher
- Have a disability
The U.S. Department of Education provides TRIO funding for the SSS Grant. Consideration of applicants is without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, or disability. Personal information collected is for reporting requirements and is confidential.
