Program Application
The LMU Ignacio Student Support Services (SSS) TRIO Program, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, is dedicated to supporting students from first-generation, low-income, and disability backgrounds. Regardless of immigration status, our program serves students who demonstrate strong academic potential. Ignacio SSS enhances student engagement and success at LMU through comprehensive academic support, financial guidance and education, and career exploration services.
Eligibility is based on grant criteria:
LMU students, regardless of citizenship, are eligible to apply to the Ignacio SSS Program if they meet at least ONE of the following guidelines:
- First Generation college students (neither parent has a bachelor's degree from a university in the United States).
- Students from a low-income family per federal income guidelines.
- Instructions on how to submit documentation to verify income eligibility will be provided upon application submission.
- Students with documented disabilities per the American Disabilities Act, which defines a disability as a limitation in a major life activity.

What happens after you apply?
All applicants will be contacted to schedule an initial intake screening with the Director of Ignacio Student Support Services for program eligibility.
