Student Contract Agreement
Students participating in the Educational Talent Search Project (ETS) must demonstrate proper behavior with the goals and objectives of the ETS project as well as with CACC's policies and procedures and state law. The following policies have been established for the ETS project. All students are required to attend seminars, workshops, and scheduled tutorial sessions (while schoool is in progress) of each academic year.
A student with prior or present disciplinary problems and/or criminal record will not be allowed to attend any field trips. A signed permission slip from the student's parent/legal guardian is required for all school-related, cultural, or educational field trips. A student is required to be respectful and display appropriate behavior during seminars, workshops, tutorial sessions, summer programs, class activities, cultural events, field trips, etc.
Failure to comply with all rules and regulations will result in dismissal from the ETS project.
Disciplinary Procedures
The following acts will result in immediate dismissal from the ETS project.
- Use, possession, or sale of alcoholic beverages
- Use, possession, or sale of narcotics or other illegal drugs
- Possession of weapons of any kind
- Any act of an obscene or indecent nature
- Any act interpreted as criminal by state law or college policy
If a student's disorderly/inappropriate behavior, including any criminal act, jeopardizes any events while in attendance at any workshops, seminars, summer programs, field trips, etc., that student will be dismissed from the program.
Educational Talent Search Staff, chaperones and students must be treated with respect and courtesy. Any ETS student who fails to do so will be dismissed from the ETS project.
Release of Records
I hereby agree with the terms and conditions of the Student Contract Agreement, Disciplinary Procedures, and Release of Records. I have carefully read and understand the requirements for my child's eligibility and participation in Educational Talent Search. I authorize the Educational Talent Search at Central Alabama Community Colllege to access and/or receive copies of my child's academic transcripts, grade report cards, ACT scores and any other academic information and test results necessary to complete the projects application process.
