  • Talent Search - Application for Participation

Talent Search is a federally-funded TRIO program sponsored by the University of Arkansas. Our program is designed to help 6th-12th grade students with academic and career interests and assist with preparing for college. Although we are affiliated with the University of Arkansas, the goal of our program is to prepare students for college, wherever they may choose to attend.

All services are offered at NO COST through a partnership with your school. Representatives from the program work with students through their school throughout the year to assist them with their educational goals and help them identify and achieve their full potential for academic excellence. Participants are eligible for a number of services including group and individual academic advising in the areas of study skills, career exploration, preparation for college, decision making, self-awareness, college visits, financial aid and more. Students are selected for the program based upon their academic need for these services and upon qualifications set by the U.S. Department of Education. In order for you to assist your child in qualifying, we are asking for your help in completing the application process. Please work with your student as they complete their portion of the application (the Personal Academic/Career Plan).

Talent Search is a joint venture funded through the U.S. Department of Education and the University of Arkansas and is provided as a free service through your local school. Because of program funding regulations and our need to serve a diversity of students, we need you to either provide us with a copy of your most recent tax form or provide us with your taxable income amount (after deductions) as opposed to your total annual income (gross income).  Any financial information you provide will be used for statistical information for the Talent Search program and will be held strictly confidential. School officials will not be provided with these records.

Thank you for taking the time to help your child have access to this beneficial program. To apply, please complete all question fields below.  Feel free to contact me, a staff member, or school counselor if you have questions.
