Definitions:
1. American Indian/Alaskan Native refers to a person having origins in any of the peoples of North and South America, including Central America, and who maintains tribal affiliation or community attachment.
2. Asian refers to a person having origins in any of the original peoples of the Far East, Southeast Asia, or the Indian subcontinent, including, for example, Cambodia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippine Islands, Thailand, and Vietnam.
3. Black or American of African descent refers to a person having origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa.
4. White or American of European descent refers to a person having origins in any of the peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa.
5. Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander refers to a person having origins in Hawaii, or the Federal States of Micronesia or Palau also known as the "freely Associated States."
