Rollins College
Upward Bound Program
Participant Application
Upward Bound is a program that helps students develop the skills and motivation necessary to graduate. All Upward Bound activities and services are free to students enrolled in the program. The program provides opportunities for participants to succeed in their pre-college performance and ultimately in their higher education pursuits. Upward Bound serves Central Florida high schools (Evans, Jones, Wekiva and Oakridge) students from low-income families; and high school students from families in which neither parent holds a bachelor's degree. The goal of Upward Bound is to increase the rate at which participants complete secondary education and enroll in and graduate from institutions of postsecondary education.
Upward Bound serves participants year-round with the school year components of the program designed to support students in their academic performance. Our six-week summer experience further develops interpersonal skills, college prep, and next grade academic exposure. Participants will be exposed to multi-subject experiential activities, as well as cultural exposure. Students will be provided with the opportunity to engage with peers from partnering schools fostering an environment of diversity, inclusion and friendship.
Program Dates: Service dates are determined based on target county dates and are subject to change.
