Dear Parent/Guardian,
Your child has expressed an interest in becoming part of the TRIO Talent Search Program. Talent Search identifies and assists individuals who have the potential to succeed in higher education. The program provides academic, career, and financial counseling to its participants and encourages them to graduate from high school and continue on to complete their postsecondary education.
Participants in the TRIO Talent Search program are provided with: group and individual advising, tutorial services, career exploration, aptitude assessments, counseling, mentoring programs, workshops, information on postsecondary institutions, and education or counseling services designed to improve financial literacy. Students are selected for the program based on their qualifications and need for these services.
The TRIO Talent Search Program is a joint venture funded through the U.S. Department of Education and Palo Alto College. All services are FREE to students and families who qualify. We do not recruit students exclusively for Palo Alto College but assist them in identifying the school that best matches their aspirations.
Due to recent federal program requirements, we are now collecting tax documentation for the household under which the applicant is claimed. This information is necessary for eligibility verification and reporting purposes to the U.S. Department of Education. Please provide the tax form for the household of the dependent applying. We understand this may be an added step and apologize for any inconvenience. We appreciate your commitment to supporting your student's education and ensuring they have access to this valuable program.
If you are not a U.S. citizen but are a Permanent Resident, please provide proof in the designated section of the application. All information provided is confidential and will only be used for program eligibility verification and federal reporting.
Please help your child complete the application and submit it securely through our Blumen Database. If you have any questions, our contact information is provided below.
