LMU McNair Scholars Program Application
The Loyola Marymount University McNair Scholars Program is designed to support students with strong academic potential and an interest in research and graduate studies. Participants identify as first-generation college students with financial need, or are members of a group traditionally underrepresented in graduate education. LMU McNair provides holistic advising and opportunities to engage in research and scholarly activities, and build community with like-minded scholars.

Eligibility is based on federally funded criteria:
1. Minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA is required (minimum 3.0 preferred)
2. Minimum of 60 units completed prior to officially entering the program
3. U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency
4. First in the family to complete a baccalaureate degree and come from a low-income family OR be a member of a group underrepresented in graduate education (including African American, Native American, and Chicano/Latino)
