The McNair Scholars Program is a federal TRIO program funded by the U. S. Department of Education. It aims to prepare undergraduate students for master's/doctoral studies by engaging them in research and scholarly activities. Participants are first-generation college students with financial needs or from underrepresented groups in graduate education who show educational need.
