Welcome to the online application for the McNair Scholars Program!

Thank you for your interest in becoming a McNair Scholar. This application is an opportunity for you to provide our review committee with more information about your interests, potential, and goals.

We also want to get to know you as a person! For this reason, we ask you to complete short answer questions toward the end of the application. As you are working, please remember that the review committee is looking for applicants who have the potential to be successful graduate students and a clear need for our Program's services. Please be honest and direct about both!

You can choose to save your application progress at any point, log out, and return later for completion and submission. To do so, you must click on "Save" at the bottom of the form. Your application will not be submitted until you click "Review & Submit" then "Submit." If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the McNair Program Specialist at mcnair@truman.edu.

The priority deadline for this application is Sunday, November 1, 2026. All complete applications received by 11:59 PM are guaranteed to be reviewed.

Other applications may be considered on a case-by-case basis until all slots are filled. Faculty reference and parent/guardian tax forms (if applicable) are due by 11:59 PM on Friday, November 6, 2026.
